I called her Feather, since she just sort of wafted in one day. We started feeding her, and eventually (after about 6 months or so), she let us actually touch her. A beautiful silver-gray tabby that was thin as a rail. We had a stray that came to us some years back. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it. Anyway, Oliver Twist moved in and we have been friends ever since. You can touch his ears and he doesn’t feel it. Ollie has ears that are turned inward due to frost bite. Lucky for me, his vet is my client and we are able to do a swap. That was 12 years ago and every year Ollie needs to go to the vet because he is either very sick or has an infection from a cat bite. That’s when I took him to the vet to get neutered and get shots etc…. Eventually, he allowed me to pick him up. It was winter so I made a bed for him outside so that he had a safe and warm place to sleep. I sat down on the porch steps and Ollie bravely walked past me to get to the food. I would put dry food out for my cats and one day when I opened the door, Ollie was on his way to my cat feeder. For two years, I watched Ollie wander the fields behind our house. If you feel as concerned about this as I, you may contact the Whitehouse here.Ībout my new gravatar that looks like all the other brown tabbies… the cat is Oliver Twist, nicknamed “Ollie” or “Butchy”.

Please feel free to add your thoughts on this, or any other topic that comes to mind. The prohibition against torture is so global that no country, great or small, can authorize torture. “His sufferings must be that of a man who is drowning, but cannot drown.” The chest and lungs are kept higher than the head so that coughing draws water up and into the lungs while avoiding total suffocation. The subject is drowned from the inside, filling with water from the head down. Eventually the subject cannot exhale more air or cough out more water, the lungs are collapsed, and the sinuses and trachea are filled with water. The head is tilted back and water is poured into the upturned mouth or nose. What Waterboarding IsWaterboarding induces panic and suffering by forcing a person to inhale water into the sinuses, pharynx, larynx, and trachea. I leave it to you, our readers, to decide for yourselves: Did President Bush authorize torture? (B) the administration or application, or threatened administration or application, of mind-altering substances or other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses or the personality (A) the intentional infliction or threatened infliction of severe physical pain or suffering (2) “severe mental pain or suffering” means the prolonged mental harm caused by or resulting from. (1) “torture” means an act committed by a person acting under the color of law specifically intended to inflict severe physical or mental pain or suffering (other than pain or suffering incidental to lawful sanctions) upon another person within his custody or physical control 2340 that waterboarding is not “torture.” His lawyers said (remember the “Loyal Bushies” that staffed the Department of Justice curing Bush’s tenure) that waterboarding does not violate 18 U.S.C. What does it mean when the President of the United States of America, the most powerful country in the world, admits to the world that he authorized waterboarding?
